The Dell Optiplex line of computers is a high-quality product, and these refurbished units are excellent. They perform exactly as intended, run quietly, and are extremely reliable. I would not recommend this model for "hard-core gamers", but for most typical computer work this is a great deal.Setup is simple, though it takes some time to load all the Windows updates, as it is shipped with the original OEM version of Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit addition. You can expect about 200 total, with a few reboots (3) during the process. If you do NOT want Windows 10 to automatically be installed (Microsoft's fault, not the fault of Dell nor the refurbisher), then be sure to block updates KB3035583, KB2952664 and KB3123862. I also recommend blocking the Microsoft "telemetry" updates, as well as the updates for Remote Access (unless you want/need Remote Access; but for security reasons it should be disabled unless you really need it).The computers have gigabit Ethernet built in, but if you want wireless connectivity then you can use something like a Edimax EW-7811Un (unless 150Mbps is not as fast as your service is capable of sustaining). It plugs into a USB port and is unobtrusive, and so simple to set up.Performance-wise, the computer can easily play full-screen HD videos (1920 x 1080), but as mentioned it is not able to handle "high performance" game software. But are games really so important??Note that there is zero bloatware installed; a huge "plus" in my opinion. Completely configured, there are less than 40 processes running, leaving plenty of system resources for applications.This machine is a great little unit, and delivers a lot of "bang for the buck", too.
