I'd have given it 4 stars but I'm subtracting a star because I am told by Lenovo that it will not work well with Linux. I wanted to put Linux on it. Then I am now subtracting another star because the SSD drive failed after only 16 months. Read more about that below.AFTER I bought it I found out it will not work well with Linux. Who knew some computers do and some don't. I'm told you MAY make this work with Linux but it's apparently a pain to do it, especially if you're not a Linux geek. (I'm new to Linux.)The point is, if a computer only works with Windows and not Linux it should SAY so on the box or in the ad copy or amazon description! SOMEWHERE.Also it has the control key in the wrong place which makes the keyboard hard to get used to. Why would they move the "normal" position of the Ctrl key?? (tho not given in instructions there is an option in the computer to change switch the fn and Control key so that the Control key is in the normal position; (if you have trouble finding that option - I stumbled across it! - look it up on line) But why they changed the position in the first place is beyond me; just a dumb move!Also note this computer has no backlight on the keyboard. I thought this wouldn't be a big deal but it kinda is. Next computer I need to make sure it has a backlight.Okay... UPDATE: I learned to deal with W10 but still liked 7 much better. It takes some time but you can defeat most of W10's stupid privacy-invading settings and make it more like 7 was. More like 7 but not AS GOOD as 7!BUT the biggest problem is that after only 16 months my SSD hard drive in this computer died.I searched all over the net and it said to re-seat the SSD because they tended to be loose etc.. If this is a known issue why does Lenovo not address it on their forum(s).By the way, also I asked a question about the drive failing and what to do about it on the official Lenovo forum and did not receive even ONE reply after 3 weeks! If you're Lenovo is out of warranty (1 year) then you have no choice but to look for solutions online. But as I said, the Lenovo forum was worthless to me.Surprisingly the Lenovo is easy to take apart and get inside and it was easy to re-seat the SSD.That worked...For 2 weeks, then stopped working again.This time no matter what I did, it would not work.I am in a foreign country right now and with the virus etc still active here, I cannot use my extended warranty or I would. i.e., it would involve me getting on a bus, to take it in, get on a bus again to bring it back home, etc, which I'm not willing to do. No fault of Lenovo, but just saying...So, I am taking it in to a local guy for repair. It seems to me the drive itself did not fail, but rather there is something wrong with the way it connects to the motherboard.I have never had a computer before, that failed within 16 months.I take good care of my computers and this one hasn't even been carried around. I keep it on a desk in the house all the time, using it like a desktop.So this is the last Lenovo I'll be buying. Downgrading my review of this thing from 3 stars to 2 now.A shame because I like the keyboard, the overall build and everything about it. It feels "well built" and solid.If only it worked easily with Linux and if the hard drive or motherboard had not failed (again it's not the motherboard itself but the way the SSD connects...) OR the SSD is bad - one or the other.Either way, tihs was a lousy computer purchase. NOT recommended!
