I like better is the cable is more longWorks to connect to my Xbox Series X via USB.lets just say i was really surprised when my seagate backup failed out of the blue. ran the usual diagnostics and tried all the troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. I thought "seagate has been making reliable drives forever, i'll bet its not the drive" so i took it apart and noticed the add-on usb adapter looked cheaply made so on a hunch, i ordered this cable bypassing the seagate supplied one and voila, it was back in action.Good hunch!Just as described, works great!Use for transfering data from 2.5" SSDs (for Atomos Ninja V) to USB ports of my PC and Mac without plugging them in internally. Got atleast 500/MBps on the transfer for my home PC, which is impressive because I get the same speed internally for that particular drive. Easier to use than external SATA hubs as wellI needed to transfer some files to a new ssd and this came in handy and quick to transfer. length wasnt an issue and i loved it!!copied my old SSD to my new SSD with out a pause or problem. Great Tool.I needed an easy and affordable way to connect a SATA device reliably to a USB port. This did the job perfectly! It's a little shorter than I would have wished, but it works and that is the priority. Compact can be a virtue.
